New playground equipment for Yinnar

Additional playground equipment has been unveiled at the Yinnar Recreation Reserve much to the delight of many youngsters who have given the thumbs up to the new items.

The project was made possible by the Latrobe City Council Minor Capital Works Community Grant, plus a sizeable added contribution by the Reserve Management Committee and its user groups. Coming in just over a total cost of $20,000.00, the project included new playgroup equipment, installation of ‘soft fall’ mulch underneath all play equipment and a high pressure clean (great job Archie Mills) of the whole precinct including the BBQ rotunda and public seating.

The project was delivered entirely by volunteers, with special thanks to Peter Fox, Kevin Young, Gordon Lont, Ken Hutchinson, Trevor Linton, and Don Barnes.
