Yinnar bakery and coffee shop is back!

After a six month closure the bakery and coffee shop in Yinnar has reopened.

On January 6 this year Yinnar residents were shocked to see that this popular venue had been ram-raided and the ATM stolen, causing enormous damage to the building.

The owners, Theresia Gailberger and Stuart Booth were devastated. The damage was extensive, they lost stock, income and of course their staff no longer had jobs.

It was some months before work on repairing the premises could be started, but eventually all the work was completed and the business reopened in July.

Theresia, Stuart and their team are serving coffee and other hot drinks once more, bread and other goods baked on the premises. Sandwiches and pies are available as well as newspapers and some groceries.

By the end of July they were able to recommence their popular Friday to Sunday Fish and chip, HSP and souvlaki takeaway service.

Theresia is delighted that customers are returning and said ‘Thank you everyone for your kind support. We will continue to offer you a service to the best of our ability.’

Unfortunately the ATM service cannot be replaced but readers might be interested to know that the alleged perpetrators have been charged with the break-in and theft and will appear in court this month.
