Open Studios Latrobe is a great opportunity for visitors to spend a relaxing weekend wandering through the studios of Latrobe Valley artists and local galleries, while the artists discuss their experiences and demonstrate their skills.

This will be the tenth Open Studios Latrobe for the community group Moartz. As usual the event will be held in late October - on the weekend of 25 and 26, with 19 visual artists to show the best of our region’s talent to the public.

The towns included in this driving tour are Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, Glengarry North, Yinnar and Boolarra.

There will be some new artists involved in the Open Studios tour in Traralgon and Glengarry and some old favourite artists returning in Moe and Boolarra. The artists work in a wide variety of mediums including, printmaking, airbrush, watercolour, acrylics, textiles, drawing, pottery and more.

The artist-run space ARC Yinnar will have eight artists demonstrating different techniques, including Alvina Bishop-Edwards starting a portrait painting, and the Inkpot Alchemists demonstrating amid the Gathered Threads textile exhibition in the main gallery. The Matchbox Gallery in Yinnar will have plenty on show as well with stained glass and drawings.
