1st Churchill Scouts - February 2025

A Queensland adventure for Churchill Scouts

Over the summer holidays, nine Churchill Scouts and two of their leaders joined over 12,000 scouts and their leaders from across Australia and around the world in Maryborough Queensland for 10 days of fun and adventure at the 26th Australian Scout Jamboree.

With the theme of “your adventure, your way”, Scouts enjoyed a wide range of activities with highlights including hatchet throwing, motorised esky racing, mud challenge courses, abseiling, crate stacking, 3D printing, flying drones and robotics, archery tag, air blower soccer, laser tag, rock climbing, crate electronics, zip lines and more.

Off-site activities included beach activities at Hervey Bay, a city adventure in Maryborough, and a trip to Australia Zoo, and each night the Scouts were entertained at the main arena. Opening night’s Amy Shark concert was a highlight, as well as a comedy night with Dave Hughes and Mel Buttle, and a magic night.
