Yinnar Community Garden Sign Unveiling

Yinnar Community Garden celebrated the unveiling of their new 'welcome' signs on Saturday August 10, 2024. They are very pleased to have a professional sign which is attractive, informative and invites visitors into the garden, which is located at 19 Main St Yinnar (behind ARC). It is a popular and relaxing space, combined with the adjoining Yanun Wanduin indigenous garden.

New welcome signage was anticipated for several years. The Committee is grateful to Youngs Signs for their generous sponsorship. Danny Young performed the unveiling, with many thanks. In keeping with the food garden theme, he was presented with a fruit basket. Produce from the garden is shared at working bees, though occasional tastings are permitted.

The Committee also wishes to thank Sari Anderson and Jim Thomson for their contributions in installing the signs at the front and rear entrances.

The community is invited to visit the garden and view several mosaics. New participants are always welcome at working bees on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Enquiries about membership, garden hire and donations can be made by emailing yinnarcg@gmail.com .
