Mathison Park - 2024-06

Our working bee was a small affair with only three volunteers available. We had several apologies, which was expected as it coincided with the Mother’s Day weekend.

Despite that, several large piles of weeds were made from the banksia garden along the long boardwalk. A lot of cleaning up work was also done along the creek bank near Kurnai College.

The Gippsland Interchange Crew helped our volunteers over three weeks to clear up piles of rubbish collected in the corner block.

We need some more volunteers to help at working bees and other times when we do extra work in the park. Our working bees are on the second Saturday of each month and start at 9am and finish about 12.30 pm. Our Thursday session is from 1-2pm.

We are a happy group and love our work in maintaining and developing the park. We would love you to come and share that experience with us. Morning tea is provided.
