Dairy Berry Visit

On January 4 my Latrobe Valley Line Dancers group went to the Berry Dairy at Newburn Park in Maffra. This venue is open from November to April, 10am to 6pm seven days a week.

Our group had a fantastic day and would recommend it as a venue to consider. 90% of the menu is Gippsland sourced, truly offering and providing you with the taste of Gippsland.

The venue caters for all age groups.

We saw the children excitedly picking their own sustainably grown strawberries.

At the farmyard petting zoo they were walking through the farmyard and feeding the friendly animals, ranging from calves to lambs to chickens, and a bunny or two! Adults were having fun too.

Kids were playing on the specially designed playgrounds which cater from the little ones to the older ones. With two different playgrounds for different age groups, sandpits and outdoor yard games, footballs and large open spaces for the older ones to play, there were many happy smiles.

Kids love food. We saw children being provided with an activity pack on arrival to keep them busy! It included a Berry Dairy happy meal.

The Berry Dairy Cafe is open daily from 10am – 6pm, with a locally sourced menu that has something for everyone. Including freshly baked scones with strawberry jam and cream, French toast, Maffra cheese and Rosedale ham toasties, a delicious range of sharing boards and more! For dessert we have churros, brownies, strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce, or have it all on the dessert sharing board. Their signature ice cream made freshly in front of you blending delicious strawberries and premium vanilla ice cream is a winning combination also in a waffle cone or loaded with cream, sprinkles and a strawberry on top.

Our group indulged fully in these food delights.

The option for a bike ride is available with bikes on site or you and the family may go for a bike ride and drop in for the venues temptations. We thoroughly enjoyed our day there and wanted to tell people about it.
